What rejection taught me about career building

I've been turned down for more roles and opportunities than I've been accepted into. That used to feel personal.

It rarely is. Timing, fit and a hundred factors outside your control usually matter more than any single interview answer.

What changed things was treating each rejection as one data point among many, not a final judgment on my ability.

The opportunities that did work out weren't the ones I wanted most on paper — they were the ones that fit where I actually was.
